Clock #3 I can't see how to pre-finish the individual parts ...... I am making some Mantle size clocks and the maple is inlaid in the time ring and the stripes in the body ... look like this ... 
You can see how my Maple has turned a pink tone, while the Zebrawood/Maple/Purpleheart body next to it is just fine. Ah well .... I'll tell my customers they will just be "Tickled Pink" with that clock. Enjoy Knipfer
